今天是第二天，梦想君想分享的是单词suggest。suggest是动词，其词义有“显示，暗示，建议，提议，表明”，但在初中英语中我们只需掌握其作为“建议，提议”的用法。

1.suggest表示“提议，建议”可以后接名词。

I suggest a visit to the museum tomorrow.我提议明天参观博物馆。

He suggested a new plan to his boss. 他向老板提出了一个新的计划.

We are really tired now.I suggest a rest by the road.我们真的累了，我建议在路边休息。

2.suggest表示“提议，建议做某事”，可以接动名词。

I suggest going swimming this afternoon.It’s too hot.我建议下午去游泳，天气太热了。

My father suggests visiting our grandparents once a month.爸爸提议我们每月看望爷爷奶奶一次。

3.suggest表示“提议，建议做某事”，可以接从句。that从句用should+动词原形,should可以省略。

The teachers suggest we (should)go over our lessons once a week.老师建议我们每周复习一次功课。

Can you suggest where I could buy a dictionary?你能建议我在哪买本字典吗？

4.suggest表示“暗示，表明”时，主语往往是物，不是人。后可接名词，动名词和从句。

His pale face suggests bad health. 他的脸色苍白,看来身体不好。

The hot weather suggest swimming.天气很热让人们想起游泳。

The expression on your face suggested thatyou were very angry. 你脸上的表情表明你很生气。

此外，suggest有其名词形式suggestion(s ),相当于advice(不可数),搭配有：give sb.a suggestion.给某人建议。
